What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy and Hypnosis are often misunderstood, there are lots of myths out there! 

The truth is, Hypnosis is a completely natural state that every one of us experiences each day. Have you ever driven somewhere and arrived at your destination unable to actually remember the drive there? Or you've been so immersed in watching your TV programme that you didn't hear your partner talking to you? I certainly have! 

A brief explanation of Hypnotherapy is assisting a client into a Hypnosis state to then be able to treat their issue. While in a Hypnotic state we are able to access our subconscious mind. Our subconscious is the half of our brain that stores everything we have learnt in our life, things we have learnt ourselves and from other people. Basically anything that we do automatically without having to think about it is stored in there i.e walking, driving. Also anything that we have been told or heard repeatedly is stored i.e a child being told repeatedly they are always so clumsy, will probably grow up always being so clumsy.

The subconscious doesn't know whether these things are actually true or not, it just treats them all as true regardless. 

So in Hypnotherapy basically we access the subconscious to go in and amend these things we have incorrectly stored as truths.

We can discover the root cause of issues, we can heal, change negative thought patterns, we can make lasting change to your life. It must be noted though, that for Hypnotherapy to be successful the client needs to be open and actually want to make the changes in their lives. 

What you may have seen on TV of Hypnosis is not how it is, no one can make you do or say anything that you don't want to or go against your morals. You can't get "stuck" in Hypnosis.

You are always in control. 

What will it feel like? During Hypnosis you will feel deeply relaxed and comfortable, either sitting or laying down, it's your choice. Depending on the type of session you may feel happiness, freedom, motivation, confidence etc. When you "wake up" from Hypnosis you will feel calm and relaxed, like you've had a lovely sleep and any positive feelings will continue. 

It's a powerful, amazing, restorative experience that everyone should experience. We often forget or ignore the need to take some time for ourselves to look inwards and connect with our true self.

It's important to look after ourselves as well as others. 

Hypnotherapy is used to treat a wide range of issues, the list below is not exhaustive so please ask if you need help with something not listed.

What is Kinetic Shift?

Kinetic shift is an amazing, powerful and content free method.  It's fast and effective.

It was originally created to help people suffering with post traumatic stress disorder but it's now used to treat a wide range of issues: including anxiety, weight loss, confidence, phobias and so much more.


Because Kinetic shift is content free I don't even have to know what the issue is. This is so powerful because not everyone wants to talk about what is causing them emotional or physical pain. This means that people who may have put off receiving help in the past because they didn't want to talk about their feelings, can now get the help and relief they need.  

1-1 Sessions last for up to an hour, if we sort your issue out for you within 10 minutes then you're free to go on your way and enjoy your day!
